Dancing in the Azure Sky's Series

The ‘Wau’ comes almost second to none. A favorite pastime in the old days, it is today regarded as an art form albeit close to extinction; as the country’s younger generation looks to new forms of artistic interpretation and self-expression. The art of ‘Wau’ making an elaborate symbolism connects the ‘Wau’ to the human soul and to the operation of shamanism and magic.

It is a combination of ‘Wau’ and light technology in order to produce an abstract natural kinetics images from the ‘Wau’ movement. It’s been recorded using a bulb technique while the ‘Wau’ was flown in the air. We always have been captivated by the Wau’s design and motif that really close to our culture. In this particular project we not only able to see the beautiful design a motif but we able to see the beautiful of the ‘Wau’ gesture.

“My art is made of experiment in lights that are then digitally combined with photo and emotion; expression, it is employed as textures, forms, contrasts, lines and kinetics and shifts the images in an abstract register.”
