Being There Exhibition

A photo exhibition in support of World Hepatitis Day, Malaysia

‘Being There’ is an exhibition of photographs of several photographers. Together the pictures constitute a mosaic of colours, shapes and moods, sometimes fascinating, sometimes intriguing but always pleasing to look at. They have an enduring quality about them, which like all good art will constantly draw our eyes to them.

Participating artists whose works are shown at the exhibition are:

Azalia Suhaimi, B.U.L.B - Barudak Urban Light Bandung, Hasriq M. Nor, HLG - Hikarimoji Lights Graffiti, KC Chai, Melvin Tong, Mohd Azlan, Firdaus Herrow, Rupajiwa Studio, Tengku Al Murad. Reviews on Wednesday 15 June 2011 and ends on Thursday 30 June 2011. The exhibition launch is scheduled to be on Sunday, 19th June 2011 at 4.00pm by YBhg.Toh Puan Aishah Ong (Pro-chancellor UM).


Finally the moment I been waiting for, my second exhibition. Thanks to Pelita Haiti Gallery for the opportunities. I really appreciated it. As usual, I will exhibit my experimental images which is Luminous Trail (light painting photography) to promote it to the society in proper ways. Most of my images is an experimental approach. What make Luminous Trail is special is all of the images is purely from dslr camera. No editing at all. Hope this exhibition will be successful and I hope this exhibition will be my starting point to keep me producing Luminous Trail and share it with others. It an honor for me to have this opportunities to exhibit my artwork with among professional photographer/artist in one of the well-known gallery.

Rationale of Luminous Trail:

Light is the primary factors to interpret and define universe. Light can be anywhere and it is important to humankind. But have you imagine when the world without a light? Light is a main source in our life, not only to bright our day but it also works as a main power to our modern technology such as solar system. Light can be in form of science that useful to the technology that been provided. But, light also can be in form of art which light has its own beauty when we create it in systematically or randomly. Light is a main source not only in photography but also in other field such as medical, industrial, engineering, science etc. it happen because of technology, modern technology has driven anything to become possible. With modern technology it helps to fulfill and utilize it for artistic desire. Light is one of the medium to symbolize modernism and to become one phenomenon that can be experience by society.

Tembikar Mambong, Kuala Krai, Kelantan, Malaysia

Located about 10 miles from the pier Kuala Krai, Kampong Mambong is only accessible by means of river transport only. The journey from Kuala Krai to Kampong Pier by boat takes about 45 minutes. Apex village famous as the center of traditional pottery pots, incense, pitcher, Geluk stalked, pans and steamer. Pottery 'Mambong' earliest discovered an estimated age of 242 years. This means that society zenith embarked in the manufacture of ceramic products since 1868 yet.
